The story
Skills, opportunity, and a growing vision
We had been serving and working in Bahawalpur for some time when a Marwari sister named Nusrat, who was working alongside us, shared an idea. She suggested that we should start a sewing center in the area so that women and girls could learn practical skills and become able to support themselves.
At that time, we only had one sewing machine. We started with that single machine, and around 2018–2019, we established our first sewing center with five machines.
What began with just one sewing center has now grown into three sewing centers. Today, many girls are learning sewing and other practical skills through these centers, giving them opportunities for a better and more independent future.
Alongside vocational training, the centers also provide an opportunity for the girls to hear and learn about the Christian faith and to accept Jesus Christ.
