The story

From friendship to a sewing center

I have always been drawn to the beautiful Kalash Valley, and initially, we used to visit the area as tourists. During our visits, I became friends with some of the local women.

As our relationships with the women grew, we began looking for ways to serve and support the local community. This led us to start a sewing center in the Kalash Valley in 2022.

To support the center, we provided 25 sewing machines, giving local women an opportunity to learn valuable skills, earn an income, and become more self-reliant.

What began through simple friendships and visits as tourists eventually developed into a meaningful opportunity to serve and empower women in the Kalash community.
